Pursuit

from $450.00

There is something ahead, just beyond the shadow.

In Pursuit, time and place seem to converge in a quiet passage of weathered stone, worn plaster, and deep recesses. A staircase rises toward an unseen destination while an ancient arch draws the eye inward, suggesting movement without revealing where it leads. The warm, muted tones and accumulated marks of age give the scene a sense of having witnessed countless lives pass through it.

Yet the photograph remains deliberately unresolved. What is being pursued—and what waits beyond the passage—is left to the imagination.

Pursuit is an invitation to pause, look deeper, and follow the path wherever the mind chooses to go.

Recommended sizes

  • 35×24 in. — Best overall size; substantial without dominating a room.

  • 46×31 in. — My preferred hospitality / designer size. Gives the passage enough presence to become an architectural element.

  • 42×28 in. — Excellent for a large lobby, lounge, or feature wall.

  • 30×20 in. — Good for residential spaces or smaller boutique settings.

Frame recommendation

Primary choice: Natural or lightly warm-toned maple

  • Profile: Thin, clean contemporary profile, about ¾–1 inch face

  • Finish: Natural maple, matte or very low sheen

  • Mat: No mat for the larger sizes; let the image run naturally to the frame

Special requests are always welcome. If you have a custom size, framing preference, or a unique project in mind, I invite you to submit an inquiry.

Lighting recommendation

Best choice: recessed or track-mounted adjustable spotlight

  • Color temperature: 3000K

  • CRI: 90+, preferably 95+

  • Beam: Narrow-to-medium, approximately 24–36°

  • Aim: Slightly downward toward the center of the artwork, rather than straight on

  • Intensity: Moderate—roughly 150–250 lux at the artwork

Design tip

The image is intentionally open-ended. It does not tell the viewer what to find—it simply offers a place from which to begin looking.

Design Character: Warm, contemplative, architectural, timeless
Ideal Settings: Boutique hospitality, private residences, lounges, libraries, corridors, and spaces designed for quiet reflection
