Destination

from $471.00

Destination captures a quiet moment of orientation—map in hand, gaze beyond the frame, caught somewhere between where one has been and where one is going. The photograph suggests that destination may be less about arrival than the experience of being present along the way.

The moment is the meaning.

Recommended Lighting

  • Color temperature: 2700–3000K

  • CRI: 90+ for accurate tonal rendering

  • Beam: Narrow to medium, approximately 20–30°

  • Intensity: Moderate—bright enough to separate the photograph from the hallway, but not so bright that the whites in the image become harsh.

  • Direction: Aim slightly downward and across the print to minimize reflections from the glazing.

  • Ambient light: Keep the surrounding hallway somewhat softer so the artwork becomes a natural focal point.

Design Tip

Create a sense of journey.
Place Destination where it can be viewed from a natural transition point—an entry, hallway, reading area, or lounge. Allow surrounding space to remain quiet and uncluttered so the figure’s gaze and the open map naturally draw the viewer into the image.

Lighting: Use soft, directional illumination from above or slightly to the side. Avoid strong reflections across the print; the subtle tonal range of the black-and-white image benefits from even, controlled light.
