Recommended Frame

Thin black (wood or metal) and no border necessary.

That feels cleaner and more contemporary. The black frame becomes the boundary, while the artwork itself goes right to the edge. There’s no visual interruption between the viewer and the image.

Recommended Lighting

  • Keep the light slightly off-axis to minimize reflections if presented under acrylic or glass.

  • Aim for even illumination across the artwork, while allowing its darker areas to retain their depth.

  • Avoid strong overhead ambient lighting that can flatten the contrast and diminish the sense of mystery.

  • A high-CRI LED (90+ CRI) is preferable for maintaining subtle tonal and color relationships.

  • For hospitality environments, approximately 100–200 lux at the artwork should provide a refined presence without making it visually dominant.
